I am reasonably sure that Norman's parents were Norman W. and Rose W., maiden name unknown.

1910 Lorain City, Lorain Co., OH at 1046 Washington St:
head, Norman W., 36, md 14 yrs, OH AL NY, chief of police
wife, Rose W., 35, 4 chn, 2 living, OH Germany OH
*son, Norman, 12, OH
son, Loren, 10, OH

On 5 Apr 1913, Norman's father died after being struck by a car/carriage? of the Lake Shore Electric Railway. His death cert says his father was L. C. and his mother's maiden name was Sophia BLACKMAN. The informant was A. J. Williams, perhaps Norman's brother. (His father was Levi).

1920 census, same address:
head, Rosetta, 44, widow, OH Ger Oh, no occupation
*son, Norman, 21, OH OH OH, recorder-tube company
son, Loren, 19, OH OH OH, inspector-tube company

In 1930, Norman is a lodger in the Hubert Henry home in Lorain. I was hoping to find Loren or Rosetta in that census or a date and place of death for Loren.

Perhaps you would want to get Norman's Social Security application which should show his address when he applied, probably in the 1950s. Norman would have been too young to register for the 1942 WWII draft registration. This was called the "old man registration" because the cutoff birth year was 1897.

Doesn't Earl's birth cert show the ages of his parents, if his birth was Martha's first or how may other children she had?
