Stuehm-Mode family

Looking for anyone who may be kin to the Stuehm family of Cleveland. My great aunt was Hatie Louise Mode who married Raymond Stuehm ca. 1924. She later divorced and married a Ransdell. Aunt Lou and Ray had one son, Charles (Chuck) Ray Stuehm, who married Doris? Chuck and Doris had two sons, Paul and David Stuehm. Chuck died ca. 1980. Ray died ca. 1955 I believe. Aunt Lou died in February of 1978.

Hatie Louise Mode was born on 4 December 1906 and died in Cleveland, Ohio, perhaps in February of 1978 according to L.D.S. She married Ray Stuehm on 9 October 1924 who was born 4 February 1906 and died in Ohio in December of 1955 according to L.D.S. records. Hatie married 2nd Howard Ransdell. She and Ray had one son. Dad recalls traveling by bus with Aunt Betty Mode Butler and his Aunt Nig (Mildred) to see his Aunt Lou in Cleveland. He said that he went to a baseball game while there and that Aunt Lou would have him take empty soda bottles to the store for the deposit, which she would let him keep. He recalls that she was divorced at the time and living with another woman, worked for a shipping company, and that he used to write to her and began each letter thusly: “Dear Aunt Lou, how are you?”

Hattie Louise Mode & Ray Stuehm

4.1 Charles Ray Stuehm was born 24 April 1927 and died perhaps in January of 1980 according to L.D.S. Married Doris? They had two sons.

4.1.1 Paul Stuehm

4.1.2. David Stuehm

Would like to talk to anyone associated with this family and share information.

Joe Mode
