I am looking for the family of Peter John Martin, who was born in St. Hubert, Hungary, on December 11, 1878. He arrived in Ellis Island, New York in 1906 and lived in New York City until 1913 when he settled in Cleveland and then Lakeland, Ohio. He was married to Gizella Martin and had 2 children named Bela and Paul and possibly a third child named Wilhelm. He also became a us citizen in 1921. His father and mother, Peter and Anna Martin, lived in Modos, Hungary, which later became Roumania. Peter also had a brother named Conrad, who immigrated to New York in 1903 and died in 1911. Conrad had two children, Alexander (Sandor)in 1905 and Joseph, in 1908. I am the daughter of Joseph Martin and would like to find out about my ancestors on the Martin side of the family. I know that my great-grandfather, Peter, died around 1921 in Roumania. I know that Peter applied for a passport in 1921 and that's where the trail ends for me as I could not find anything else to tie into the Martin family. Roumania is not open to sharing records so I cannot get anything from that end and I'm sure that the children of Peter are passed away as my dad is as well, but, would like to hear from anyone who are relatives or who knew the family and can help fill in the blank spaces of my geneology.
