Fred J. Pittenger and Margaret B.Pittenger (adoptors) with Jane Sterling Pittenger (adoptee) under case number 134481 in the Cuyahoga County Probate Court records. No year or any other information .

Frederick Josiah Pittenger married Margaret Banberry Sterling in Philadelphia,PA.They came back to Cuyahoga County where he was working.

Think Jane S. Pittenger adopted 1922-1924 in Cuyahoga County,Ohio. In Jan.26,1920 Pittenger's lived at Bratenahl Village and he was stewart/mamager of "The Club". Few years later moved to Lakewood where Jane attended school first and then they moved to Shaker Heights where she attended school until she graduated. They moved to Cleveland City and Jane Margaret Pittenger (she changed her middle name to Margaret) went to Mount Union College. Jane later married Robert Thomas Hlavin after WW II and had 3 children in wayne Co.,Michigan. They owned a home in Dearborn.

Was told Jane daughter of an Eva ? and Max L. Jeffrey. Was told Eva or the real mother died before Jane died in 1965. Eva possibly still lived in Cuyahago County when she died.
