Dear Sarah and Jon,

If you're still looking for Nellie McAuley, I may be able to help. I don't know if I sent this to you or not before - I know I started writing a response awhile ago but don't know if it ever got to you.

My g.grandmother was Nellie Frances McAuley; I knew she came to the US from Canada. She married William Stiling, not Sterling, so I think we're looking at the same tree branch, if you will. William was from England - I think the Devonshire area.

Nellie was born in 1859 and died in 1921, according to the Volusia County FL GenWeb pages. My grandmother was her daughter Edith, born 1893 in the vic. of Detroit, MI just after her parents crossed the border, or so I remember.

Nellie and William moved to Daytona Beach FL roughly around 1898. I think they were married in 1879 but I am not sure. They had a lot of kids; either 7 or 8.

My mother was born the year following Nellie's death, and was named Frances in her honor.

Please e-mail me at dwb21317@msn.com if this helped any. I think I can get more on her, and maybe David and Sarah, from my uncle or some cousins in FL if need be.

David Butt
