Young Wife Leaves Her Work in Standard Plant at Noon Friday-Husband Receives Message to Hurry Home at 2:45 p.m.- However, No Tragedy Develops
Declaring to other employees, according to the latters' statements, that she was going home to commit suicide, Mrs. Georgia Kinney Williams, aged about 20 years, left the Standard plant of the American Art works, where she is employed, at noon Friday. In view of this declaration, a telephone message to the young woman's husband, W.A. Williams at 2:45 p.m. asking him to come home at once, caused considerable commotion about the plant the former's friends fearing that it meant she had committed some rush act.
No Signs of Tragedy
However, no information could be secured from the home of Mrs. Williams' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kinney, Elm street, where couple live, last night. Inquiry among neighbors also failed to reveal any signs of a tragedy or even an attempt to commit suicide on the part of Mrs. Williams.
Domestic Troubles?
The young couple have been married less than a year and according to friends, their life together has not been as peaceful as it might be recently. One story from the Standard plant, where both are employed is to the effect that on several occasions within the past several weeks there have been signs of a quarrel and the couple did not go home together.
