Please help!! Am seeking more information/confirmation about my
gr-gr-grandmother, Emily S. Ayers. She was born in OH around 1837-1840 (depending on which census you consult.) She married Joseph Smith 1/25/1855 in Coshocton Co., OH, then can be found in Whitley Co., IN in 1860. Emily and Joseph had 3 sons. The 2nd son was my gr-grandfather, Orlando, and the 3rd son was named Sidney E.
I saw a posting from 1999 in the Ayers family forum which describes what could be her family--Father- James Ayers, b. c1797 in Sussex Co, NJ, Mother-Mary/Polly Kilpatrick, children--Wm. H., James, Sarah, Charles J. Susan, Mary, EMILY S., and Sidney. Does anyone out there know anything about this family that could help me make this connection? Any further information about the family gratefully accepted, too. Thanks. :0)
