Hi!!! I have the early Clinton Co. marriages for the Kizers and Ricks/Rix up to about 1860 or so. If you have something latter, that may be of some help. Most of the Rix/Ricks families of Clinton Co. seem to have come to Grant Co.,IN, same as Samuel Kizer. I have tried, in the past, to find a link to the Kizers of NC with no luck. There
were both Phillip and Samuel Kizers in NC but
I don't know if they came through Maryland.
Samuel states on the various census that he
was born in VA. His birth was about 1819.
I know the Rix/Ricks were in VA before they
went into NC. I suppose the parents of Samuel
could have went back and forth. Again, most
of the settlers who came to early Clinton Co.
were NC Quakers. I have even considered
Indian ancestry because there was a widow
Polly Kizer who lived with the Shawnee in Logan Co.,OH. in 1820. The 1820 census show her with children.

Regards,
David Watson
