I am searching for information on JANE TAIT; TATE; KAIN b. Dec.07,1816 (no location) PA. or maybe OH. died, Oct. 03., 1875, probably Batavia ,Clermont Co.,OH. and SARAH KAIN child in household of NELSON APPLEGATE in Ohio census. JANE married NELSON APPLEGATE Mar. 22. 1846. again maybe OH. I assume SARAH entered the marriage along with JANE. Her child? Why was her surname KAIN?
SARAH would have been six when JANE and NELSON wed. Other children listed for JANE and NELSON APPLEGATE were.....
Emma b. 1847, William b. 1848, Arthur b.1850, Thomas b.1852, Eva b.1856, John b. 1858, and Oliver b. 1863. As far as I know they were all born in Batavia, Clermont Co. OH. Which family did Jane and Sarah belong to before the marriage of Jane and Nelson Applegate? Any help really appreciated.
