Im looking for the parents of James Harris born, 25 Sep 1822 in Batavia, Cleremont County, Ohio. He was married to Martha Mc Adams, born 24 May 1830 somewhere in Ohio. They were married in Olive Branch, Ohio in 1849. They both moved to Page County Iowa where all of the children were born.
All I know about James' parents is that his father's name was James also, and he was a methodist minister who at the time of James' birth lived in Ohio (Clermont County?). James, the father, was also born in Virginia and his unnamed wife was born in North Carolina. So far I have found no one who knows anything, but I have looked at a couple who seem to fit. I hope to find info to tie James Harris born 1782 in Harrison County Virginia, and his wife Phebe Dial born 1794 in Rowan County, North Carolina. The locations fit(he died in Amelia, Clermont, Ohio) and they had a son named James. Please help.
