1. Looking for death record of Sarah Wallace who married Christopher Smith in Clermont Co. in Dec 1828. Family histories say she died when her son, John Newton Smith, was 6 months old. He was born in Oct 1829. She is listed (female between 20-30) in 1830 census, Point Pleasant, Clermnot Co. OH, but I don't know what the date of this census is. According to family letters the Wallace Famly was from across the river in KY, so don't know if Sarah died in OH or KY.
Christopher married his 2nd wife, Nancy Manning in Clermont Co., in 1832. Also according to family letters, Christopher Smith had a Grist Mill on the Ohio at Point Pleasant. 2. Does anyone know of any history on Grist Mills in this area?
3. John Newton Smith had an inheritance from his grandfather Wallace of a team of fine horses, etc. Since I don't know the grandfather Wallace's first name or the exact county where he lived in KY, can anyone give me a shove in the right direction to find his will?
