Knoche, Bethel D., famed American organist, who passed away at her home on Sunday 27th of April, 2003 in Independence, MO at age 83 years.
She was born in Arcadia in 1919, and was on the staff of CMSU dept of ed from 1940–49.
Bethel was the first Principal Organist (1958-1967) for the world headquarters complex of the(RLDS) Community of Christ, Independence, MO where she oversaw the design and installation of the Aeolian-Skinner Auditorium Organ which was completed in 1959.
I am commencing research on the life and work of Bethel Knoche and would appreciate any information, photograps etc which anyone may have concerning this wonderful teacher and musician
