Looking for information on Joseph D. Hatfield, born in Ohio abt 1814 and appearing in 1850, 1860, and 1870 Clermont County Ohio censuses. His wife is Elizabeth (Crosley?) born abt 1815. Children are Nancy born abt 1838, Henry C. abt 1840, Nathan abt 1842, Ann abt 1844, John abt 1847. Living with them in 1850 in Union twp is Clark Hatfield (brother?) born in Ohio abt 1821 and Sarah born abt 1849. He is the only Joseph D. Hatfield in Clermont County in that time frame. My great grandfather had an older brother named Joseph D. Hatfield Crosier, son of Nicholas Crosier of New Jersey, and Eliza Ann Boggess of Ohio. Nicholas and Eliza also lived in Clermont County. I'm trying to find a possible family connection between Nicholas Crosier and the Hatfields. There appears to be no connection between the Boggesses and Hatfields. I don't know for sure who Nicholas's parents are, but his father may have been John Crosier, mother is unknown. If I go back to what could be Nicholas and Joseph's grandparents, I found a John Crosier marrying Ruth Rannals and William Hatfield marrying Anna Rannals abt 1776 in Essex County, New Jersey.
