Hi...I was looking for some info for myself when I ran across the Day family in the book of "First Settlers of Mt. Carmel, Clermont County, Ohio:
John Rose 1796 had a son, Doc Rose who married Lorena Phillips. Their son, Theodore Rose was 3 years old when they arrived in Mt. Carmel. He died in 1886 at age 93. "
This info was given by:
Rose Day
her parents:Nathan Ambrose Day and
............Ann Johnson. Ann Johnsons parents were Mr. Johnson and Susan Chapman.
Nathan Ambrose Day parents:Artemas Day and Rosanna Sutton. Her father was Nathan Sutton 1769-1825 and he settle in Glen Rose, Mt. Carmel, Ohio.. Artemas Day parents: Timothy Day1765-1843. He established the Day Farm in 1800 in Clermont, Ohio.
There was also a Sarah Crane that married a Day and she was born 1773 and died 1860. She was related to Albert Day and Rose Alice.
There was a Sarah Rose died 1829 age 69, John Rose died 1837 age 77. All of their farms were producing flax for socks and stockings and bedding materials, at that time.
I am not related to any of these people..just thought I would pass it on.
