Floyd Keith Sherman, 78, died Nov 8, 1993 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Salamanca, NY on April 15, 1915, the son of Lincoln M and Nina (Watkins) Sherman. Mr Sherman embraced the Protestant Religion a lifetime. He retired from Kelsey-Hayes (Steel Products) in 1978 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 397, Retirees Chapter of 1192, Kelsey-Hayes. Lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1031, and Military Order of Cooties. He served overseas with the Eighth Infantry Division and was wounded twice, and received his purple heart with clusters. He is survived by 2 sons, Paul Sherman of Randolph, NY and Merle Sherman of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Shirley Willsie of Randolph, NY and Carol Parker of Sinclairville, NY; step-children, Betty Nourse, Frewsburg, NY; and Erwin Johnson, Kennedy, NY; one sister, Geraldine N Harris of Salamanca, NY; one brother, Norman Sherman of Salamanca, NY; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Laurel Sherman; second wife, Lois Sherman; one brother, Glen Sherman; and one granddaughter, Sherry Halstead.Friends may call lfrom 2-4 and 7-9 pm Weds in the Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home where VFW Lodge services will be held at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday in the Memorial Home with Rev. James R Martin officiating. Entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
