LEWIS, LAUGHLIN, DORMAN

I'm searching for ancestors of Thomas Jefferson Lewis, born in 1809 in Hamilton, Ohio. His mother-in-law was Mary (Polly) Laughlin, of the Delmarva Laughlins. I suspect his parents came from the Delmarva area: Accomack County, Virginia or Sussex County, Delaware, in close association with the Laughlin and Dorman families, who also lived there.

I know there were Lewis's in Accomack County and Sussex County at the right time. I'm looking for a lost Lewis son who went to the wilds of Ohio around 1800. Any leads gleefully received!

Michael Alan Lewis
