James L. Carlton (B. 1811) and Benjamin Carlton (b. 1807) were brothers. James was married to Eliza Alice Owen in Mechanicsburg, Champaign Co. Oh. in 1835. Benjamin was in the 1840 Ohio census from Mad River Twp. Champaign Co. with one other listed with him. The Carltons(Carleton) migrated from Cumberland Md. (Allegany Co) Any help in finding Ben greatly appreciated.
