Yes, indeed there was a Bunny Hollow. It was a huge park area that was wonderful. I believe the old Armco Steel Company owned the land. If I remember correctly, the land was given or sold to Miami University and the Middletown branch of the Miami University was built on part of the land the the John XXIII Elementary (formerly Fenwick High School) is on part of it. University Boulevard goes right through it too.
When I was in grade school, our final day we always were taken to Bunny Hollow for the day of running and playing and they had a merry-go-round and a Leap Frog ride and a little train that went back through the woods. And the big swings on the side of the hills were fantastic! It was a great place to visit and the site of many picnics!
