Diane, in looking more closely at the family tree I mentioned above, I see that it says that Clarkson had an older sister, Mary Ann, b 12/21/1827 in Ohio. She would be the female under age 5 in Edward Wallace's family in 1830. Also makes sense that there would have been a child born sooner after their marriage than Clarkson b in 1829. Mary Ann married Lorenzo Dow Cain in Vermillion, Indiana, on 4/20/1848. They moved to Illinois soon after and ended up in Missouri where she died.
