Thank you for your kind reply Mr Kerwin.
I will try to point out the info you must have passed over in your quick reading.
Finding my ancestors in Ill. is not my problem. I am seeking to connect to other Hursts and Wheelers that were in Ohio.
Meshack Hurst married Mary Wheeler 21 Nov 1834 Highland Co. Ohio
Mary Wheeler was born in New York, abt 1817.
Meshack b 1812 had a brother named John Hurst b 1803 Clermont Co. Ohio, also possibly another brother named "Bennett"?
The land sale previously posted is my one hard fact.
Unfortunately this is all I have facts for.
We believe the father was named John Hurst.
John Hurst b 1803, applied for a marr. lic. in 1881 Franklin Co. Ill.; he stated his mother's maiden name was Poe.
I think it is stated that his father was John Hurst on it also.
We know Meshack and John were brothers, the children were first cousins.
I have notes from my deceased mother showing that there were siblings to Meshack and John Hurst. The list is like this;
a girl
Bennett
John
a boy
Martha
Lucinda
Meshack
I do NOT have any documents to back this up.
I am seeking help.
Notes from my mother about Wheelers are;
I believe she seen records of these, to have such exact dates.
Finding my Meshack or John Hurst families in Ill. is not my problem.
Connecting them to other Hurst in Ill. is a problem.
Connecting them to Hurst in Ohio or Ky or Md. is a problem.
Connecting to Wheeler families in Ohio or NY is a problem.
Thank you for you find interest.
