States: Ohio: Brown
I'm 99.9 percent sure I'm related to Harley and that's why I put the ? mark after that statement. Harley's father was Thomas Jefferson Bowman's. My family history says he was my Grandfather's father and this came from my mother and a friend of the family who was older than her and she died at age 86. On the 1880 census my Grandfather was listed as William Bowman and living with his Grandmother. On the DNA test. There are two Thomas Bowman's living in Brown Co. The one is Thomas and the other is Thomas J. Bowman. I did the DNA test with a family member of Thomas Bowman and proved a direct link with this family. I also believe and several other people who have researched this family that these two Thomas's were cousins. I have not proved that yet but I'm very close to doing that. Harley would have been my Grandfather's half brother. Thomas J. Bowman also had a daughter with a Hester Carrigan and that child was named Dove Carrigan I also have the court papers proving that Thomas J. was the father. I've been in contact with several family members of the Thomas Bowman but also would like to know other members who are realted to Thomas J. Bowman. I would really like to see some pictures of Thomas J. or Harley. I do have pictures of Harley's farm near Ripley, Ohio he is one of them but too far away to see very well. This family is tied back to Germany to about 1512 and there is a great internet site on this family. Hope this answered some of you questions and I will glad to answer any other questions that you might have and the one I have is are you connected to this family?
