Does anyone have marriage record for Isom Hatfield and Nancy Wills?
I would like to know if Nancy is the mother of his daughter Louisa. Louisa "Lulu" Hatfield was born 11 May 1848. Louisa married first to Hamer Rhoten on 10 Nov 1870 Vermilion Co IL and 2nd to my ancestor John B Godar (on 27 Apr 1876 Vermilion Co IL).
Following are some misc. notes on both families --
According to info in Brown County, Ohio, genweb site, Thomas Hatfield is listed as one of the earliest settlers of Byrd Township. Also, under the Byrd Township section, there is a brief "blurb" about Thomas Hatfield who in 1804 moved with his family from Mason County KY "to the farm his son David now occupies, on West Fork..." and lived out his life there. Thomas was "formerly from Pennsylvania" and he had a family ten children: --Thomas, Mary, John, Sarah, Martha, Jonas, Deborah, Elizabeth, Isom and David.
Isom is likely the same one who served in the 89th OH Infantry, Company C as a Private. He is likely also the same Isom Hatfield who died 6 Apr 1898 and is buried at Spring Hill Cemetery, in Danville IL.
