Residents of Neel, Ohio 1800s

I am trying to get information on Neel, Ohio and the families that lived there. Some Ohio maps show the location on state route 763 in Brown County. They used to own a general store that was later bought by the Bowmans. A church and covered bridge was also at that spot. The bridge was washed away in the floods of 1997. The farthest I have been able to go is the 1860's and a Middleton Neel. I have not been able to find much info on his immediate family. I am related to the Neel's buried in the Decatur Cemetery. Any info would be great!
