Edward Sams married 1 Apr 1872 Brown Co. OH Mary Jane Purdum who was b. June 1850, daughter of Jonah and Mary Ann (Bell) Purdum. Edward and Mary Jane were in Brown Co. in 1880 but soon moved to Iowa and show on the 1900 census in Appanoose Co. IA. Their children were Julius, Catherine, Ivy, Reason, Ira and Bessie Sams. Catherine married Charles Marshall Large. Need info on the other children. I've been told Mary Jane (Purdum) Sams died in Brown Co. in 1922 and is buried in Confidence Cem. If so, maybe some of these children married in Brown Co.
