Under my gggg grandfather Samuel Batson I listed the 11 may 1812 Release of claimants for E. Lands by Brown - Samuel Batson attorney for Anna Batson. I finally found the court listings of property owners affected by this case, and found the Anna Batson listing in with listing for members of the Fernald family and Trefethen family in New Castle, New Hampshire. Note: There was an Anna Fernald who married a Samuel Batson there. Her mother's maiden name was Trevethen. She and that Samuel had several children including a Samuel Batson who is more likely the attorney mentioned in the case.
Here is the website to the Boston, Massachusetts legal document covering this case.
It looks like many people including this Anna lost land in New Castle, New Hampshire to someone named either Samuel or Nathaniel Brown, because their rights to their claims of land were released by the Brown claim.
I haven't found the link between the Thomas Batson of NJ and the New Castle, New Hampshire Batsons so I can't attribute this court case to my gggg grandfather Samuel Batson born in NJ who died in 1833 in Henry County, Indiana after all.
I hope this helps someone out.
