I spoke with Janet Bauknecht, owner of Bauknecht Funeral Homes, and she gave me the correct identities on the following cemeteries: GREENWOOD CEMETERY (use to be called ROSE HILL CEMETERY -- never Mt. CALVARY). It is located on Rt. 214 on the hill behind the Rose Hill section of Bellaire on the left side of the road. MT. CALVARY CEMETERY is located just a little further up the road past Greenwood, but on the right. (It has the large water tower on the top of the hill.) NEW GREENWOOD CEMETERY entrance is located INSIDE OF THE MT. CALVARY CEMETERY. When you enter Mt. Calvary stay to the right and drive up the hill to the water tower. The road will fork. There are two small signs. One sign reads "Mt Calvary" and points to the left, referring to the cemetery that you are in. The other sign points to the right toward a double gate and reads "NEW GREENWOOD CEMETERY". ROCK HILL CEMETERY is off of Rt. 214 down Patterson Hill Road about 1 mile. (Rt. 214 is also called High Ridge Road. It was referred to Rock Hill Pike until about 15 years ago.) Turn onto Patterson Hill Road beside of the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church. HIGH RIDGE CEMETERY is on Rt. 214 (High Ridge Road) near Dixon Hill Road and closer to St. Clairsville, I-70 & Rt. 40. BELMONT MEMORIAL GARDENS is at the end of Rt. 214 (I-70 & 40). It is practically beside of the DAYS INNS (formerly Holiday Inn, then Comfort Inn). I hope this helps you in your research. ~nancy Notify Administrator about this message?
