Goshen was, in all probability, named for Goshen Twp, Chester County, Pennsylvania. where many of the early settlers came from.I have many Chester Co resources, if I can be of help....many of these PA emigrants were Quakers, and may be found in local Monthly Meeting records.
However, none of your names appear as early settlers of Goshen in Belmont...some of those names are John Adams who may have been the original "squatter", ca 1797.HE was followed by Christian Wyaman, a man named Keeler and a John Dunlap. The first land entered lawfully was that of Joseph Wright, along with Ralph Heath and Wm. Philpot....then came John Gregg, Darling Conrow, Ezekiel Smith, JOseph Danner, George and John ewers, DAvid Fawcett, Nathan McNichols, George Burns, Wm. Phillips and Stephen Gregg.
