Kenny/Kenney/Kinney are all correct spellings. So far my research shows Kenny as the predominant spelling. Richard was the son of Daniel Kenny, Charlestown, Chester, Pa. Known siblings are Daniel, George, Thomas and James. Phebe Kenny(James) was his mother and her will indicates George Mechem as Executor.
She was from Uwchlan and a Quaker. There isn't evidence of Daniel being a Quaker. Daniel may have been a Rev. War Vet., which would be reason for not appearing in Quaker records.
Richard later purchased land in Monroe County(1815 Marietta land office), however, he didn't occupy. He later married Susannah Harris (1829) of Jefferson County. He moved to Morgan county where he died in 1856 and is buried in the Quaker Cemetary at Pennsville, Morgan County, Ohio.
Thank you for your response. If you would like further info, please contact me.
