It's the anecdontal accounts like that, that make this family history come alive. I would imagine that there was a large immigrant population in Neffs and surrounding area, in that alot of the surnames listed in the causualities of Willow Grove were foreigners.
Where did the kids from Neffs Ohio go to High School ? I'm thinking maybe St. Clairsville High ? Is that accurate. I may try to contact the school to see if I can see / get my hand on a yearbook. My mother would have graduated in '39 or '40 maybe even 1941. She passed away when I was in my late teens and there is a lot I never knew about her.
