My mother lived in Neffs as a newly wed (as I mentioned in an earlier response to your earlier postingon Neffs) and she is now a grand 83+ years old though she won't admit it. I believe she was there at the time of the disaster as she and my oldest sister did not go to stay with her parents until my dad went off to WWII. I'll see what I can find out over Easter when I visit there.
