I am SO excited! My sister just uncovered old notes that indicate that George's father moved to Wheeling from Indiana following a friend who stayed at the hotel that George's maternal grandparents owned, and where George's parents apparently met. I'm looking forward to bad weather when I can return to doing research on his roots in Indiana and hopefully back to his parents.
I found George's death certificate, and his mother's death certificate and death record.
I could not find his birth certificate or his parents' marriage certificate. I would LOVE it if you could help me. That would be GREAT!
I don't know why George's father left the house. His mother and sisters would not talk about him. My mother considered him "dead" but I understood that he was not.
Are you and I related????
