George Horner 1884-1918, Horner's Store
George Horner owned Horner’s 5 & 10 cent Stores in the Barnesville, OH area. I understand that he was born in Wheeling, WV, rented a room at 211 N. Chestnut St. in 1910, and his first store was probably located on a corner of E. Main St.
I am looking for anything of interest about George, his family or his stores. His sisters and daughter spoke very highly of his being prominent in the business community at the time.
What business organization was he likely to have joined?
Whom else do you suggest for me to contact?
My sister and I are putting together a genealogical record of our family to pass on to his great grandchildren.
Thank you so much for your attention,
