I'm not sure why you're calling the OHS, unless you're local, for they have a great online site that tells you what theyhave...if local, golly, visit them...it's a great resource.As the original naturalization records are NOT kept at the OHS, but at the Federal Courts, what you need to do is follow up on THAT lead....
The LDS is a wonderful repository of genealogical information...the largest in the world..... but keep in mind, NOTHING you find in the Ancestral File or the IGI is documented...that is, no documentation is required for individuals to submit information, so these files are FILLED with provable errors. Thus, nothing can be accepted from these the Ancestral files or the IGI, as truh...only cas lues.I believe the real strength of the LDS is their films of ACTUAL documents.If you visit their online site, and do a place search, for Belmont Co, you will be able to SEE what all they have on films...
