Elisha, Thanks for the info. John Wesley Wagner was also my Great Great Grandfather. My family comes from his son John Wesley Wagner (Jr), his granddaughter Marie Fisher and his great granddaughter, my mother, Peggy Jo Potter.

My records show he married Sarah Jefferis. I have information on her family.

I think I found him in the 1870 census living in the household of Elizabeth Linsay in Beaver Township of Noble County, Ohio. He is listed as John W Wagoner 16 yrs old, working for wages. Other Wagoners in that household are Mary E (28 yrs), Isaac (30 yrs), Joseph (7 yrs), and Filena (3 yrs). A brother (I believe), Richard Wagoner, is listed as living on a farm in Tyler County, WV in the 1870 census. Actually I think John W is listed twice in the census because there is also a John W Wagoner (17 yrs)listed as a farm hand on the farm of Hiram Hastings in Beaver township.

I would be very interested in learning more about the family. Thanks, Don
