At least one of the Browns from Belmont Co is my ancestor...I do have some relations in Amity Cem.... Nelson Newton Mallory and wife Jane McIntire. Jane was daughter of David Shepard McIntire and Katherine Bonar. David maternal grandfather was Col David Shepard commander of the VA militia during the Rev War.

My Browns came from Greene Co PA about 1816...but had been in MD and previously from IRE, though they were Scottish, Matthew and William were brothers. William was killed by Indians and his son John settled with mother and siblings in Belmont co.
