Jesse SMITH, Sr., & Jr., born 1806 & 1836 VA, Alexander SMITH born 1834 VA

Does anyone have any information on a Jesse SMITH born in VA around 1806 with at least two children named Jesse, Jr.? born 1836, and Alexander born 1834, who may have lived in Belmont County awhile before moving westward and settling in Muskingum County, OH? The elder Jesse was married to an Elvira? Pickerell? (Exact spelling on both names may vary) They lived out their lives in Mt. Sterling, Hopewell, Gratiot area on the Licking/Muskingum County line.
Family stories "say" that one of the Jesse's (possibly even another previous Jesse born around 1779)worked on Zane's Trail/National Road. Family thought it to be actually the "blazing of the trail coming thru Ohio from West Virginia"...but have found nothing to confirm that!
Tho, the two Jesse's lived next door to each other in Mt. Sterling...have no proof they were, in fact, related at this point...Alexander's 3rd marriage affidavit revealed that Jesse and Elvira were HIS parents and an assumption was made as to Jesse b. 1836 and Alexander b. 1834 being siblings!
Any tidbit....much appreciated!! Thanks...
