I am looking for the family of my 4GGrandfather, Jacob DAVIS Jr. He was born about 1774 in either Ohio or Pennsylvania. He was a private in the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812. His wife's name is UNKNOWN, but according to the census records, she was born bet. 1780 - 1790 in Ohio and died bet. 1840 - 1850 in Indiana. They had at least four children...

1) John DAVIS; b. ca 1808 in Ohio; m'd Mary ATKINSON
2) Jacob J. DAVIS; b. ca 1819 in Ohio; m'd Margaret ROGERS (my 3GGrandparents)
3) Maria/Mariah DAVIS; b. 1821 in Ohio; m'd Hardy JOHNSON
4) Malinda/Belinda DAVIS; b. 1823 in Ohio; m'd David JOHNSON

An 1833 land record for Hancock County, Indiana lists him as "Jacob Davis of Belmont County, Ohio". Jacob was living in Henry County, Indiana in the 1840 census and was in Howard County, Indiana by 1846.

Do you know if Jacob is the sibling to your Hannah?
