1800's Shriner surname help!
Posted by: Lindsay Junge (ID *****2614) Date: August 25, 2004 at 14:08:48

My g-g-g grandmother's name was Emily Shriner, b. in Barnesville, OH June 29 1838. She had sisters named Cassandra, Lucinda, Anne Marie, Susan, and Sarah. She had brothers named William and George Washington.
Their parents were Lawrence Shriner and Susanna Hulty. He came from Germany, but I don't know when. There could be several different spellings of his name as I think it was 'Americanized' when he got here.
I would love to have information on Lawrence and Susanna, and any of their children.
Any info, great or small is always welcome.

Thanks!
-Lindsay
