In the 1790 Frederick Co., MD census index, William GIVENS is found on page 66. Isreal FRENCH is on page 61. I need to get back to the library to check on ages for these families.)
I find an IsArael FRENCH in the 1800 Frederick Co., MD census p/138.
several of these folks migrated to Belmont Co., Ohio.
I find a John GIVENS in Washington Co., PA page 841.
And of course, Daniel is in Greene Co., PA soon after.

Moses Givens m/Ann French 31 August 1797 Pipe Creek MD.
Ann is the d/o Isreal B/16 Sept 1746 All Hallow's Parish in Anne Arundel, MD, d/16 august 1820 and Margaret/Marget. Ann was b/7 March 1772.
Moses GIVENS is in Pease Twp, Belmont for 1806/08/09.
Children are as per hinshaw..........
Jane b/1801
Joel b/1803
Isreal b/1805
James b/1808
Rachel b/1809
Amon/Amen b/1811
Isaac b/1813

George GIVENS is also in Pease Twp, Belmont for the 1809 census. Have not found anything else for George.

Why did Daniel decide to come to ""Belmont Co., Ohio ""in 1824/25? Is there a connection with Moses and George??

another tidbit. Somewhere/someone stated that the parents of 'Andrew' Givens was I & S. Could the Isreal or the Isaac, sons of Moses & Ann be the father????

Second tidbit......Another Givens researcher is searching for the parents of an Elizabeth GIVENS...B/18 Sept 1822 in Staffard, Monroe Co., Ohio m/1 Jan 1838 Thomas HINES. This Elizabeth d/23 Jan 1904 Spring Hill, Johnson Co., Kansas.
Bu/Spring Hill Cemetery.
Could this Elizabeth be the Elizabeth, d/o Daniel that was supposedly b/1822 in Greene Co., PA??. Daniel GIVENS, JR. and sibs were living in the area.
Good thing that I love puzzles.
