Hi Roxann. I just found your posting. Don't know how I missed it until now.
I am researching the same line, and have not yet found out the connection of the Harris name.
I was wondering if by chance you came across the middle name of Joseph. He has a middle initial of N.
Also, he was married twice. His first wife and child died at childbirth. He and his second wife only had one child, and they named her Agnes Green DuBois. I don't know where the Green comes from either.
Maybe they are counties they lived in, and not surnames??
Would love to hear from you.
Connie
