We are looking for information and or descendants of Isaac and Eli Hill. Specifically, Isaac Hill is my direct ancestor, a gggGF. He was born circa 1800 or possibly before. His brother, Eli, was born circa 1798. Hulings Ball had two daughters, Eliza (b. 1803) and Liza (b. 1808). Eli married Eliza in 1824; Isaac married Liza (aka Ziza)in 1825. Both marriages took place in Belmont Co., Ohio, with Hulings Ball signing consent for both daughters. Eli and Eliza eventually moved to Vinton Co. Ohio, where Eliza passed on between 1870 and 1880. Eli was in his 80s in 1880.
Isaac and Ziza lived in Beaver Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio into the 1830s. According to the 1830 census they had at least three children. The only one I have knowledge of is Mary Jane Hill (ggGM) who married Ashford Dennis in 1849. In a land transaction in 1833, Isaac Hill acquired land from a Matthew Hill in consideration of Isaac Hill caring for a Matthew Hill (father? or sibling?) At this point, we lose sight of Isaac. His wife, Ziza, was married again in 1840 to Elijah Blackstone.
On the 1880 census of Eli Hill, he was born in Pennsylvania and his parents were born in Maryland. Eliza was also born in Pennsylvania. We may be able to assume that Ziza and Isaac were also born in Pennsylvania. If anyone has knowledge of the Hill line, please feel free to contact me or my husband
