I just found out that one of my relatives was a preacher at a church, Methodist Episcopal Church.
The first meetings were held in old school houses and homes until 1837, camp meetings date back to 1821. The second church was built in 1834 in Flushing twn. I know this isn't much information but it's a starting point. Patti
