There was an Andrew Brentlinger who killed his wife in 1871 but I don't think this is the same one. May be related tho.
New York Herald April 8, 1871- Andrew Brentlinger was hanged on that date in Lima, Allen Co., Ohio. The write up names 3 of his children, Martha E., Peter and Abraham, and 2 brothers, Daniel and George. Wifes name was Sarah.

Rachel must have died but havent found a death date for her.
In Auglaize Co.,marriages, 1848 to 1898 there are 13 Brentlinger marriages including Philip Brentlinger and Rachel Wagner in 1863.
