I am trying to confirm the surname of Hiram Hazelton's wife Jane. I believe it was Jane Barber. I am assuming the marriage occured in 1845, since my gggrandfather Chauncey was born in 1846.
I have searched the online Marriage Records for Ashtabula and Geauga Counties and did not find a record of the marriage. Is there a published book of Ashtabula County marriages? Would I find it in Jefferson or Geneva? I don't live too far from Ashtabula County and could make the trip to do the lookup.
