I am researching my ggg-gm, Sally Hoyt (b. 1804, d. 1858) She marr. Charles H. Barnes, in Malone, Franklin Co NY. One of her sons, John Beriah Barnes, moved to southern MN and I found a "puff bio" on him in Martin Co MN. It states that Sally Hoyt was from Malone NY, and "one of 12 daughters". I am trying to track down any of those daughters, along with the parents' names. There is a Beriah Hoyt in 1820 US census of Malone listing many daughters, and since Sally's son bears this name, I think he could possibly be her father. Beriah Hoyt cannot be found in any later census records for this location. I find a Beriah HOYT in Ashtabula County OH in a list of voters of Conneaut in 1835, and I am wondering if he could be the same person. Does anyone have any HOYT data that would fit with this person? I was also recently sent a marriage record for a Rachel Hoyt Titus (widow, b. 1818) who married Alphonso Hazen in Crawford Co PA in 1853(just across the border from Ashtabula), and her parents are listed as Beriah and Lois Hoyt. I am hoping to make some connections with my own Sally Hoyt. Thank you, Margaret Notify Administrator about this message?
