I have quite a bit of information about my Russell line that was in Ashtabula County.
You should post on the Russell Board, and look into the book about the Decendents of William Russell. I bet you could a connection here.
Here are some of the highlights:
Calvin and Patience (Porter) Russell had nine children, eight were born in New York, the last one was born in Ohio.
Calvin was born in Connecticut in 1790, and he was #9 of 10 children. He was the son of Stephen Russell b. 1748/9 in Connecticut who was the second of 7 children.
I see many John's in this line, but I only have the information copied that applies to my line.
I can provide more details of this line, but I would suggest posting on the Russell forum to get info from someone who has the entire book.
