A search of the Corrigan births resulted in the following:
W.H. Corrigan and Laura Patchen had Laura E. on 10/Aug/1892.

Ref. Family History Film #0890259, Vol. #3, page 30.

Names in Census were often spelt "wrong". Enumerators were not allowed to ask for spelling (often
people were illiterate and didn't know how to spell their name, Enumerators didn't wish to put tem" on the spot")
so they spelt it the way the heard it.
BTW, The "census date" in many years was June 1st, so don't assume you can just subtract the age from the Census year. It could be wrong 7/12ths of the time if they hadn't their birthday before June 1st.
Best of luck in your search.
