I am going insane. I have tried everything I can think of. My G-G Grandfather was Alexander H. Smith. He was born in 1823 somewhere in Ohio and lived most if not all his adult life in Ashtabula Co. Dorset twp. OH. The 1880 census states that his parents were born in MA. I can't believe that there are so many Smiths, born in MA that later lived in Ashtabula Co. OH, during the right time period, and none of them are his parents! Please! does anyone know of a Smith born in the late 1700's to earley 1800's in MA that later moved somewhere in OH that had a son named Alexander born in 1823? Any help will be Greatly appreciated
