I am looking for any information on William Thornton, his wife and family. William's son, Albert Winslow Thornton, was born in 1837 in Monroe, Ashtabula, Ohio. I also know of a letter that Albert's brother, W. (?) Thornton wrote to Albert in 1861 which talked about family back home in Dorset. W. (?) was enlisting in the Civil War and Albert was newly married and living in Porter Co., Indiana. I figure they must have been in Ashtabula for awhile. I have not been able to find them on any census until 1860, and this was only William & son, Albert in Porter Co., Indiana.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Penny (Thornton) Kaloudis
