Are you are researching this family, please let me know... I especially interested in corresponding with descendants of William Brown Peden and Jacob Rice Peden, and would be happy to exchange information with all Peden/Paden researchers. Thank you so much!!!

OBITUARIES FOUND:

_ PEDEN, Conrad... (OCSWD - Feb. 7, 1905 - p. 5, c. 5 - copied Nov. 17, 2001)
"Millcreek, Feb. 5 - (Special.)-- Conrad Peden died at the home of one of his daughters
in Andover, O., early Friday morning, aged 76 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was the
fourth son of James and Hannah Peden and was born in Frenchcreek Township,
Venango county, being one of a family of 11 sons and two daughters. He married
Rebecca Seth and to them were born 12 children, of whom seven sons and four
daughters, together with their mother, survive them. Funeral services will be held at
Andover, O., Monday, February 6, at 12 o'clock. Deceased was well known in the oil
country in the 60's. He was one of the men that drew oil to Jamestown, Pa., before we
had any railroads in this part of the country. He also worked for a number of years at the
old Raymilton furnace."

"William Paden, aged 67 years, died at his home on the west side at 11 o'clock on
Saturday morning from pleuro-pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and the folling
children: Samuel, of Crawford county, and Mrs. Anna Rice and Jesse Paden, of Oil City.
Funeral services were held in his memory at the Salvation Army barracks at 3:30 o'clock
on Sunday afternoon. The body will leave here via the wagon road at 3 p.m., to-day for
Deckard's and the interment will be in the cemetery at that place."
